@ MattO'Brien Trình quản lý gói trong debian / ubfox nổi tiếng là xấu. Tôi cũng mệt mỏi với apt-get cài đặt phiên bản cũ hơn của gói. Đó là lý do tại sao tôi đang xem xét chuyển sang fedora hoặc arch linux có trình quản lý gói tốt hơn. Mac là cách quá rộng rãi theo ý kiến của tôi.

Cảm ơn rất nhiều Wilf để trả lời câu hỏi của bạn. Nhưng một người khác đã cho tôi câu trả lời trong danh sách gửi thư R, chạy các lệnh sau:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:marutter/rrutter
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install r-base r-base-dev

đã giúp tôi giải quyết vấn đề của mình!

Depends: libtiff4 but it is not installable

Sự cố này dường như là do libtiff4gói không có sẵn cho Ubuntu 14.04

Vì vậy, một cách giải quyết có thể sẽ tải xuống phiên bản cho Saucy, phiên bản được hỗ trợ cuối cùng, từ đây hoặc tại đây :

Đối với i386:
